FAQs

Missing class? Fill out this form!

What happens if I miss a class?

Classes are booked in 4-week sessions, and class sizes are limited. If you miss a class, you may attend one make-up class per session, only if a seat becomes available in another class.

Make-ups are standby only and not guaranteed.

How do make-up classes work?

When a student is absent, we may release one Make-Up Seat for that specific class day and time.

  • Make-Up Seats appear in Sawyer as “Make-Up Seat — [Day/Time]”

  • Seats are first-come, first-served

  • Availability varies week to week

If no seat opens, a make-up may not be possible.

How do I book a make-up class?

All make-ups are booked through Sawyer.

  1. Log into your Sawyer account

  2. Look for Make-Up Seat listings by day/time

  3. Register only if you missed a class in your current session

We are unable to manually place students into classes.

How many make-up classes can I attend?

Each student may attend one make-up class per 4-week session. Please only use this if absolutely necessary so we can make sure students who need a make up can get one.

Do I need to notify you if I’ll be absent?

Yes. If you know you’ll miss a class, please submit the Class Absence Form on our website. Click button/link on this page.

Advance notice helps increase the chance that a make-up seat can be offered, but does not guarantee availability.

Absences reported by email, text, or social media may not be received.

What if I don’t give notice?

Missed classes without notice typically cannot be made up, as we are unable to release a make-up seat.

What if I register for a make-up seat but can’t make it?

If you have booked a Make Up Seat but cannot make it you will need to notify us min 24 hrs before. if you miss or do not show up for your scheduled make up class you will not be offered another make up seat.

Can I carry a make-up into a future session?

No. Make-ups must be used within the same session or following and cannot be carried over.

What if I can’t find a make-up seat that works for my schedule?

Because classes are small and often full, make-up availability varies. While we do our best to offer opportunities, not all missed classes can be made up.

Can I email or text to request a make-up?

To keep things fair and manageable, all make-ups must be booked through Sawyer.
We are unable to arrange make-ups by email or text.
